About Ohana

Our mission is to give everyone the freedom to live where they want, when they want. For guests, Ohana provides the freedom to transition to the place they want to live; for hosts, the peace of mind that their rent is covered by a trusted subtenant.

Founded in 2023, we're backed by Neo, Wave Capital, Lightbank, and 75 & Sunny — including Zillow's co-founder & CEO and Airbnb's Head of Payments, Data Science, Engineering, and M&A.

About the role

Ohana partners with professional housing providers across the United States and other major markets, many of whom operate hundreds or thousands of furnished apartments. We’re looking for a Supply Lead based in South Africa to support our US team and help guests find the right home from this inventory.

This is a client-facing, sales-oriented role. You’ll develop a strong understanding of the properties available through our partners, speak one-on-one with guests about what they’re looking for, and recommend the units that best fit their location, budget, timing, and preferences.

You’ll work closely with our US team and our housing partners to understand availability, pricing, neighborhoods, and the differences between properties. Over time, you should be able to confidently guide someone who may have never visited the city before and explain why one neighborhood, building, or unit may be a better fit than another.

Many of the guests you’ll work with are relocating, studying, interning, or working in cities such as New York, Boston, Washington DC, and London. Strong communication skills and comfort working with customers from the United States, UK, and other international markets are essential.

The goal is simple: understand what the guest needs, know our partners’ inventory extremely well, and help them confidently choose and book the right home.

What you'll do

Meet one-on-one with prospective guests by video and phone to understand their housing needs. Recommend specific units based on location, budget, dates, neighborhood preferences, commute, and other requirements. Become an expert on the inventory offered by Ohana’s professional housing partners. Develop a strong working knowledge of the cities and neighborhoods we serve so you can confidently advise guests unfamiliar with the market. Understand differences between buildings, units, pricing, amenities, and availability across our partners. Follow up with interested guests and help move them from their initial search through booking. Work closely with our US sales and partnerships teams to understand new inventory and provider relationships. Maintain relationships with guests throughout the decision-making process and provide a professional, high-touch experience. Share feedback with the team about pricing, inventory gaps, guest preferences, and opportunities to improve conversion.
